To the Editor: A team of Citizen Action Party-Sikkim led by the Party’s Chief Spokesperson and Working President Organisation Shri DB Chauhan, along with Shri Bikash Sharma, Vice President (Coordination), Temi Namphing Assembly Constituency, Spokesperson Albert Gurung, and other party leaders of Temi Namphing Assembly Constituency visited the Indreni Bridge site at Adarshgoan, Singtam to hear the grievances of the locals who are having tough time due to lost of connectivity with other parts of the state after the October 4th Glacier Lake Outburst Flash Flood.
Even after more than 2 months the administration and the government has failed to provide an alternative to Indreni Bridge at Adarshgoan due to which locals are facing various problems there. The government had announced 9 Bailey bridges to be constructed in those places where the existing bridges were washed away during the flash floods.
But sadly there’s no progress in work to restore the connectivity between Adarshgoan and other parts of the state. Citizen Action Party-Sikkim strongly demands immediate restoration of an alternative bridge In place of the old Indreni Bridge to provide much needed relief to the locals.
Here’s the short video of visit by the Citizen Action Party-Sikkim team:
