Gangtok: In a deeply mourned turn of events, the vibrant spirit and entrepreneurial mind behind the 5-year-old startup, Chitto Delivery, Mr. Ren Pema Wangdi Shipmoo Rongkul, has left this world, leaving a profound void in the hearts of many. His untimely demise has reverberated through the well-wishers, family, friends, the startup community, and the vibrant artists’ circles in the state.

A Versatile Artist and Contributor

Not just an entrepreneur, but a multifaceted individual, Lt. P. W. Lepcha, was also an accomplished Lepcha folk dancer and a co-founding member of the esteemed Lepcha folk dance organization, Kurnaap Achook. The remarkable performances of Kurnaap Achook have consistently captivated national and state-level audiences since its inception.

Lt. Lepcha was not only known for his artistic talents but also his dedicated service as an NCC cadet, where he rose to the position of Senior Under Officer (SUO). His exceptional dedication earned him the prestigious Sikkim’s first Governor Gold Medallist Award. His contributions extended to representing NCC from 2015 to 2017.

A Journey of Learning and Growth

Lt. Lepcha’s educational journey took shape at Sir Tashi Namgyal Higher Secondary School, and he pursued his graduation at Nar Bahadur Bhandari Government College, formerly known as Sikkim Government College, Tadong.

A Heartfelt Farewell

The news of Ren Pema Wangdi Shipmoo Rongkul’s untimely departure has deeply moved the Kurnaap Achook, as evident from their official Facebook page, where they expressed their profound shock and sorrow:

“This is very sad and equally shocking news that our beloved dear brother Anum Pema Wangdi Lepcha is no more with us and has left for a heavenly abode. He was always inspiring and full of good energy, never in this world we have thought something like this would happen to him. Our deepest condolences & rest in peace 🙏.”

Lt. Lepcha’s passing occurred during the night of 27th October, and it is notable that the circumstances surrounding his demise are reported as unnatural. A post-mortem examination was conducted on the 28th of October, further adding to the investigation of this unfortunate incident.
